Unfolding an Object

 I wanted to play around with stacked objects because I thought it would be a little trickier and I would need to problem solve a little bit to not have any pieces overlap.

Castle Model

      For this project I originally wanted to model a castle after Minas Tirith from LOTR, but while modeling it I realized that it wasnt coming out how I neccesarily wanted and decided that it would look a little boring. I decided to pivot and make a more detailed castle, and modeled one after The academy of Raya Lucaria from Elden Ring.      This is the inspiration image: This is my model: Some close up shots:     My main focus for this project was to make it as detailed as possible and try to make natural rock formations for the base. I think I managed to complete both goals, and am very happy with how it turned out.      One of my main struggles with the project was getting the rocks to look realistic, but after a bunch of research and struggle I managed to semi - figure it out. OBJECT Attachment: Online Discussion, Rhino Progress

    Since I've made cold connection/ attatchment designs before, I decided to go a slightly different route for this project. There will still be a connecting point (actually multiple) but the main focus of this design will be on the actual "thing" itself. I want to make a sort of  pointer for when I am wheel throwing in ceramics and want to make multiple identical pots. This tool helps show me where the lip of the pot needs to come up to and thus helps me make semi-identical forms.  Something like this:      After drawing a few concepts I found a better design that would be both easier to model and have less failure points which I think ultimately will be better.
