     The film really spoke to me and helped me figure out what I wanted to do for this project. Whilst watching the film I was actively drawing out ideas. The minimalistic design was heavily influencd by Objectified, as that what the main idea was. I think that I managed to capture all the main ideas brought forward in the film through my designs.      I think that my designs are very functional, and relatively aesthetically pleasing. I also wanted to make sure that they are easy to instaqll, so I drew on screws where screwholes would be. My designs are also pretty simple, makigng them easy to print and mass produce. All of my designs I made based off what Dieter Rams said a good design was: I made the designs as little designed as possible, was consistent in my design, made them structurally stable as to be longlived, they are flat and unobtrusive, aesthetica and pleasing to look at, and useful.      This assignment was really interesti...

     For my design I originally wanted to go with the very complicated one (image for reference), but after attempting to print it a few times I realized that I would need more support for the base so that the print wouldn't fail.      I decided that I was going to go with the spire, because it also looked good and had all the criteria needed for this project. It has a very satisfying shape, and since it's symmetrical it's pleasing to look at. It's also self - supporting and can print without failure. I did size it down so that it could fit within the size constraints.     I used bambu slicer to slice my model because I have a Bambu lab P1P, but it didn't change much because I used the same trick with spiral vase where I turned it on then off to get all the right settings.
